ATI Radeon 4890 – First 1GHz Graphics Card

If you think Nvidia’s leading the Graphics Card race, think again. With XFX removing their “Exclusivity” from Nvidia cards, ATI got just a boost in their manufacturing. Since XFX has a great deal of respect from gamers all over the world, the gamers were absolutely delighted at the shift. Nvidia has upset most of the gamers with the non-stable release of graphics cards one after the other, with absolutely no cool-down time for the recently released ones. The 8800 GT card, which generated a LOT of hype after it’s release, was brought down to earth after a better and a cheaper version of graphics card, which not only performed better, but also drew less power from the power supply was released. Customers who had purchased the 8800 GT expressed great amounts of discomfort and frustration at this move made my Nvidia, since they had paid a lot of money for that card and they ended up with a worthless card.

ATI, was watching silently from the sidelines, while concentrating on it’s own stream of 4000 series card, at a stable and a consistent rate. The cards were just beasts and performed equally well with Nvidia’s similar category cards. The wait was worth it since, ATI has now come up with a factory overclocked Radeon card, which clocks at an insane speed of 1Ghz! The ATI Radeon 4890 is the fastest factory overclocked graphics card on god’s green Earth! The chipset on which the graphics card is built on, is not at all new, but performs, rather OUTPERFORMS all other existing graphics cards.

This card is surprisingly AIR-COOLED, which is quite shocking, since the card would’ve easily heated up a lot, considering the high processing and clock speeds. The color combination and the looks are that of the ever famous “Ferrari” cars, which makes the beast look even beastlier! This card is surely aimed to rip apart any competition in sight, especially Nvidia’s GTX 2xx series cards. The benchmark results are not in yet, but keep an eye on this space, because as soon as we get hands on this bad boy, the first thing we’re gonna do is max it out!

Unbelievable! This is absolutely superb! I have the same card! Does that mean i can overclock it too!?!?! I tried to overclock it once, it works flawlessly, but some of my colleagues told me that the card heats up a lot, so i should avoid it? Any suggestions please?
