Steam Makes It’s Way to Macintosh!

Valve, one of the most popular game development company (those who brought you the infamous Half Life series and the Counter-Strike series) have been ruling the online FPS platform for almost a decade now.
The games were meant specifically for the Windows based platforms, whereas the Mac was sacrificed. Even though being a so called ‘professional-workstation’, the Mac seems to be welcoming any sort of gaming related applications or games themselves to make their way onto their systems. A youtube leaked video shows how Steam, valve’s popular platform for games has crept onto the Mac.

The interface, design and layout seems to be the same as the Windows counterpart. Steam is a service offered by valve, which nullifies the physical need of owning a disc for a game. The platform allows users to directly buy games online via their service and get it activated. The game gets then downloaded straight to the hard-drive and installed, hence avoiding any necessary requirement of discs perse. Watch the video and let us know what you think about this. Will it carve a new era in Mac gaming?
