iPod Touch: Getting a Camera?

6 July 2009 219 views No Comment

If you own an iPod Touch, the one feature you would want more than anything else, would be a high resolution camera added onto the device. Apple, too, seems to have realized that, according to techcrunch. As the latter reports, Apple has placed an order for camera parts, including it’s lens, chip, etc designated to be included in the next iPod Touch.

iphone3gTechCrunch also reports that the sources in Asia are responsible for this news, being the order for the cameras to be massive. Large number of cameras are being shipped to Apple, other than the iPhone ones. MacRumors is propelling this information by claiming that not just the iPod Touch will feature a camera, but also the iPod Nano series, when they get updated, that is. Along with this, new case designs, most probably for the iPod Nano, show a hole created for the camera. As of the moment, only the Apple iPhone sports a fancy camera, that too with the recent hardware and firmware upgrade, has finally started working as it has meant to. The Apple’s iPhone 3GS includes video recording, MMS capability, inbuilt Video-Editing applications, etc which allows it’s users to upload it’s videos directly to YouTube or MobileMe.

If this news is true and Apple IS working on such an upgrade, then it will be an early Christmas this year [IF Apple releases these devices before Christmas that is.. ;)] Lets wait and watch..
