Windows 7 RC1 – Released

7 May 2009 1,084 views No Comment

5th of May saw a release of a yet another great player from Microsoft. I was actually quite happy to see the new distinguishable features it released along with itself. The new OS is not that different from the original beta release, but this release candidate has some interesting features you might want to have. The downloads have begun again, on stable and fast servers, which you can get your hands on at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/download.aspx The ISO is around ~ 2 gigs in size and can be burned onto a standard size DVD.

Yet again, Microsoft insists that the consumers should re-install the OS completely, removing the option of “Upgrade” altogether. Some torrent sites have come up with the release candidate version and they have also brought about a small hack or a ‘tweak’ as you may say, which will give the users an option of upgrading rather than losing all your information and data [if you don't back up , that is] and simply upgrade to the latest Release candidate without much hassles.

Here’s a video from Microsoft, demonstrating the new features in the latest release candidate. I’ve already got my self a copy of the OS and I should have installed it by this weekend when I get the time.

For Techmirage,
Regards,
Pranav
