Microsoft has been resenting the release after release of the Apple’s iPod and iPhone series of devices. The Zune MP3 player had been shadowed for long enough. Make way for the big boy to step up. The Zune HD, Microsoft’s most awaited and the most hyped device to stand up to Apple’s iPod touch is now at bay.

The people who hate and live outside the iTunes circle, would love this lovely and breathtaking gadget. With a crisp and a crystal clear touch screen OLED and an interface that is, as per many, better than the iPod with only drawback, the lack of applications. The device is aimed for doing it’s job and not meant for running after stupid applications according to the developers, who’d rather concentrate on music, video and the support for web on your handheld multimedia gadget.

The device is extremely beautiful in design and performance as well. The device handles all the tasks designated for it to do quite gracefully and is quite neatly priced as well! The 16 GB version of Zune HD will retail at a $220 where as the 32 GB one will be for a $290, which comparatively are quite less than the current similar versions of iPod Touch. Keep an eye for this spot for a detailed review once I get my hands on it
